Enjoy Meadowcroft&#8217;s prehistoric Rockshelter, 16t<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px;\">h<\/span>\u00a0century Indian village, 18th century frontier\u00a0area and 19th century rural village.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, June 10 and Saturday October 14: Walk Through Prehistory (Reservations required)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Travel through time on a 2-mile hike in the footsteps of our hunter-gatherer predecessors. Learn about the flora and fauna the prehistoric people used as a source for food and materials needed to survive. Admission to the museum is included in this partnership with Venture Outdoors. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ventureoutdoors.org\">www.ventureoutdoors.org<\/a> to register.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, June 17th: 21st\u00a0Annual Meadowcroft Atlatl Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beginners are invited to try using the atlatl, a spear-thrower used by prehistoric hunters, and watch experts from the World Atlatl Association compete for high score.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, July 2: Independence Day Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Celebrate the spirit of America with special programming at Meadowcroft. \u00a0At 2:00 hear a stirring rendition of the Declaration of Independence in our Fairview Church located in our 19th Century exhibit. \u00a0Historic Games will begin at 3:00 on the green behind the Visitor&#8217;s Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, August [TDB]: Vintage Baseball Game<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Baseball 19th century style.
