Come on out on April 18th for Avella Community Cleanup Day!

Help beautify our community for Spring and pickup trash along the road.

You can come to the Independence Township Community Center (11 School Court) between 9am-10am on the morning of cleanup for supplies.

This is an event organized with PennDot, so on this date only, trash bags collected from road cleanup can be left on state roads at the end of the day. State employees will collect the bags after our cleanup day.

We have individuals and families who have and continue to graciously cleanup the roads on days other than clean-up day, and to those people – WE SAY A HUGE THANK YOU!

If you are in need of supplies any other day of the year, call the Township Office (724-587-3518, M-F, 9am-2pm).

*On any day that you may perform an independent road clean-up OTHER THAN the annual organized road cleanup day, the disposal of the trash bags would be your responsibility since we only have organized collection on Clean-Up Day. But again, you are VERY appreciated for your efforts keeping our town clean, every day of the year!
