Independence Township residents — mark your calendars!

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Important update: The Washington County Board of Elections has consolidated voting locations across the county. Independence Township will now have one polling place instead of two.

Polling Location:

Independence Township Community Center

11 School Court, Avella, PA

Voting Hours:

7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

This change was made as part of a countywide effort to improve efficiency while maintaining access to in-person voting. Updates reflect population shifts, staffing challenges, rising costs, and the need for more ADA-compliant polling locations.

We encourage all registered voters to plan ahead and confirm your details before Election Day
