We’ve only had a few volunteers on cleanup day the past couple years — we’d love to see more of our community come together 💙💛 Even a little bit of your time makes a big difference! Can you give 1 hour of your time?![]()

Note: This is an event the AACA organizes with PennDot, so on this date only, trash bags collected from road cleanup can be left ON STATE ROADS at the end of the day.![]()

We have individuals and families who have and continue to graciously cleanup the roads on days other than clean-up day, and to those people – WE SAY A HUGE THANK YOU!![]()

*On any day that you may perform an independent road clean-up other than the annual organized road cleanup day, the disposal of the trash bags would be your responsibility since we only have organized collection on Clean-Up Day. But again, you are VERY appreciated for your efforts keeping our town clean, every day of the year! 💙💛

The Independence Township Municipal Office will be closed on Friday, April 3, 2026. The office will reopen at 9am on Monday, April 6, 2026. Thank you!
