We understand the concerns residents have when properties become overgrown or fall into disrepair. Every complaint received by the Township is promptly investigated by our Code Enforcement Officer at Harshman CE Group, who works with property owners to resolve violations whenever possible.
Many cases are corrected quickly. Others require property owners to be given time to bring their property into compliance. If violations are not corrected, the Township may be required to pursue legal action through the courts. Throughout this process, Pennsylvania law establishes specific procedures and timelines that the Township must follow, and in some cases extensions may be granted.
Please know that when a complaint is filed, work begins immediately—even if progress isn’t always visible to the public. While some cases take longer than anyone would like, they continue moving through the legal process until they are resolved.
